Jesus, just buy it from a shop.
Chopping wood will be a very useful skill to have in the three electricity-less weeks between nuclear war, and the wave of atomic zombies that'll subsequently overrun our remaining survivor camps.
Actually I really enjoy it too. Using a mechanical device is nice BUT physically hitting something so much older and bigger than you till it keels over is one of the best escapes there is.
Plus it's nice to see muted daylight, feel the rain on your bare skin.
Oddeye, why are you chopping wood naked?
Just told you dude, to feel the wind and rain on my skin. Tasting the primal elements, first born of all creation and I'm right there destroying nature, creation's sweetest fruit, for my selfish pleasure while simultaneously being cleansed by the elements intimate touch.

Is there a "dangling cord" tag?
This was really neat, but my problem isn't finding the best spot to chop. My problem is actually *hitting* the best spot to chop.
Yeah, I am not god at that, although having one good axe that you always use would probably go a long way since you'd get to know it.

So, what's a good axe? Fiskar's makes a couple axes that review well and are affordable. What's the preferred axe among the PoeTV elite?
A Buick and a bottle of Jack Daniels.
An ax isn't really a precision instrument, it's a lot more like a hammer. Go with what feels best in your hands, both in handle and weight. Don't bother with double headed, because it doesn't really need to be sharp, and you'll want to use the blunt side.

I was expecting one of those "instructional" videos where someone can't do the thing they're supposed to be teaching, but this guy knows what he's doing.

5 for saying "I'm a man. You?" without having to say it.
