We had SO MUCH Ronco crap when I was a kid. I recall this being one of the better ones.
The RonCo infomercials always made me want every single stupid RonCo product even though I was like 6 and why the fuck would I need a chicken rotisserie?

jesus christ, I wouldn't pay .77 in today's money, let alone 1978.

I was wondering about that. Here's the tally: Walgreens: Alive and well Woolworth: Still alive, after a protracted metamorphosis into Foot Locker (seriously!) Woolco: Bought out by Wal-Mart Osco: Still around (mostly as Jewel-Osco and Sav-On) Service Merchandise: Still around, but only as an online retailer Ribordy Drugs: Dead as a doornail Montgomery Ward: Went bankrupt, was liquidated, eventually resurrected as an online retailer (with no real connection to the original)
I like the guy at 0:20-0:21 who can taste the difference between fork-scrambled, whisk-scrambled and gadget-scrambled.
