Sadly, this looks like just shy of fifty people, so I guess the apocalypse is still on.

It still gives me hope. How often do you see fifty complete strangers team up to help out their fellow human being for zero financial reward? It's pretty rare.

It's a reminder that as easy as it is to be pessimistic in this shitty world, there's still a minority of good caring people in it.

Quite literally uplifting. I actually thought it was going to be a different kind of "trapped." Do they have censors on the doors down there? Last time I was on the L my shoelace got caught on something getting on and luckily I was able to kick it off before the doors slammed shut and the train started up again. I'm not sure what would've happened to my left foot, or possibly my entire leg.

Oh. There's a longer one in the original link without the timelapse. The security guy pretty much signals "stop" immediately so maybe that was it. Thing is, first time I watched it I didn't see what had happened. From the camera's perspective, I would've thought it was a guy dropping his briefcase, backpack.. so even if I saw someone do that it'd take me at least 5 seconds to say "oh fuck! STOP" and at least another 10 to convey that to the conductor. Unless there's like a kill switch or something. I've seen people's bikes get destroyed because they can't fit it in and the door just closes. Really I'm just curious. But yay for humanity!
