I'd watch one about Dane Cook too; it's not about the comedy, but the human condition, and from what little I know about Cook, I'm pretty sure he hasn't done anything inhuman (except maybe tell jokes that sound like a robot wrote them.. zing.) And I vaguely remember Shore. He was kind of funny in Encino Man but I was 8, and was too young to remember his time on MTV. Fuck, I'd be fascinated by a different VJ I do remember, Jesse Camp, another "what happened to that guy?" guy.

I remember watching a similar on-the-road doc with David Cross, who I do love, and watched for the jokes. But at one point you see Bob Odenkirk, who really looked bad. As my favorite of the Mr. Show pair, it was really sad to see him almost forcing out a joke through what looked like tears. His career was kind of in the shitter after a few bombed movies and, well, basically not much after Mr. Show. I don't expect a Saul Goodman-esque revival of Shore's career to come from this doc, but I'd like to know more about the man behind The Weasel, or whateverthefuck it was that he did.

Bob Odenkirk actually was fine after Mr. Show. Yeah, he had some bombs, but he was producing and funding a lot of stuff, such as (love or hate 'em) Tim and Eric. That and Bob was never much of a stand up, more on an improv and writing guy.

I like the Dane Cook bits where he pretends to be a serial killing rapist.

Let's hope so.

Yeah I stand corrected; I also forgot he directed Melvin Goes to Dinner in 2003 which was a great film. The only scene I can seem to find is the trailer (suffer through The Shins if you dare:)

there's other scenes too, but I forgot that Odenkirk picked back up pretty quickly, whereas Shore.. I dunno. His imdb catalogue's pretty full, but I'm not sure who's watching. It's kind of like going to Branson Missouri. What happened to Yakov Smirnoff? He's selling out every night. What happened to Pauly shore? I'm curious.

I want to see a super Yahoo Serious serious documentary.
