It's no longer acceptable for scientists to speculate about how female hormones may make them terrible people, but testosterone still gets to be the eternal boogeyman. And naturally he entirely glosses over the data point that low-power, high-testosterone leaders are *more* social than low-power, low-testosterone leaders (meaning that logically, we should want male leaders in a highly democratic society) and slap a misleading title on the whole thing, which will inevitably be cited by feminists to prove our inherent defect.

Yeah, its an unfortunate double standard; but until men are no longer the cause of 99% of all things that suck, while being dealt less shit, this is a low-priority gripe.

99% ! Scientifically measured with beakers and instrument and shit!

TeenerTot - 2014-12-17

Yeah, I think we're still too steeped in gender roles to get really useful "hormonal"-behavioral data.

Both men and women have both testosterone and estrogen in their systems. Both play a role in physical and mental health.

Higher testosterone levels in men and women lead to increases in self-confidence and aggressiveness.

So maybe it's worth looking into in this case.

Hey come on now, all those shitty men were given birth by women, so actually it's all their fault. Checkmate.
