I want to engage in a string of petty crimes against this guy just to see how long it would take him to go crying to The State.

Sadly, I'm pretty sure he'd call the cops if I as much as TP'd his house.

gravelstudios - 2015-01-02

Nah. I'm pretty sure he'd just shoot you.

Oscar Wildcat - 2015-01-02

I'm down with that action, Bort. He may shoot one of us, but there are a lot more of us than him, and we'll even have the drop on him.

Plus, the local sherriff is probably sick of his horseshit so is likely to be lazy when the call comes, as it inevitably will.

I mean, he did say he wanted liberty OR death. Didn't specify which one.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2015-01-02

I find the religion of Bitcoin and "fuck you, I got mine" as well as "fuck you and me because that guy who got his says I'll get mine once he pays no taxes" a lot more dangerous than "statism."

Libertopians are really funny when you start talking about not just police, but any kind of justice system. Chain of evidence gets really hilarious when all of the "cops" are being paid for by interested parties in the cases involved. At best, they favor corporate feudalism.

Cena_mark - 2015-01-02

Supply side economics is one hell of a drug.

Void 71 - 2015-01-02

A good portion of libertarians are against the American brand of capitalism because they consider it a mutually beneficial merger between government and corporate interests, the end result of which is the destruction of local businesses, i.e., traditional Main Street America. It doesn't square with their perception of an ideal free market system, which has never existed, ever. This is why they say insane shit like, "There is no evidence that capitalism exists today." (Ron Paul)

In other words, they often identify the same problems as radical leftists, but they're confused about the causes and possible solutions.

Shanghai Tippytap - 2015-01-02

how many of these libertarians were completely fine with statism when a white man was in charge?

asian hick - 2015-01-03

I didnt know that was something only "radical" leftists believe. Thanks for setting me straight, Void 71!

SolRo - 2015-01-02

Take a drink whenever he whines about having to pay taxes

Robin Kestrel - 2015-01-02

Chug each time he says "literally".

Jet Bin Fever - 2015-01-02

Hahaha. Oh (big) brother.

Old_Zircon - 2015-01-02

Doesn't actually have much of anything to do with anarchy.

Or reality.

Oscar Wildcat - 2015-01-02

Note to young people. Analog televisions made a kind of buzzing sound when operating. That clicky clackity sound is a piece of celluloid film running over projector sockets. The two technologies have nothing in common. That is all.

ashtar. - 2015-01-02

Like a lot of libertarians, he doesn't understand the concept of "democracy."

SolRo - 2015-01-02

Are you implying that he still has to follow laws even if he personally didn't decree them? FASCIST!

Dib - 2015-01-02

Doesn't understand the concept of 'analogy' either. Just because something may be compared to another thing doesn't actually mean they share an identity or equivalence. No, government is not religion or religiosity.

IrishWhiskey - 2015-01-02

Dear everyone who argues on the internet:

When people you are arguing with get angry, give up, become emotional, or make spelling errors, that does not make your argument correct, or even indicate it has validity. Yes, one possibility is that they are irrational beings unable to rebut your brilliant logic. Another possibility is that you are so stupid they are overwhelmed by your bad logic (like calling a state "literally" a supernatural being due it's metaphorical similarities) they give up. Don't assume it's the former. Also demonstrating a flaw or inconsistency in your opponents position does not automatically make yours correct or even better.

That guy - 2015-01-03

IT'S "due to its" NOT "due it's" YOU MORAN.

Maggot Brain - 2015-01-03
