I didn't know K-Tel dealt in primitive Waifu technology before they hawked records.

Delightful.

I'd actually buy this if it's still around. I occasionally get back pains due to a job where it was literally impossible to lift with your legs (unless you were 3 feet tall) and still feel it from time to time. All the massage balls I've seen are about the size of a hackey sack, or they're the overpriced electric ones like you find at Brookstone.

Or maybe I'm wrong and Jack and Elaine were just really tiny. Speaking of, exchanging your maiden name for Elaine LaLanne must've been an interesting discussion.

I was wondering about Elaine myself -- perhaps she married him just for the name?

I know people who swear by these:

And remember, BB&B coupons never expire. They have expiration dates on them, yes ... to throw idiots off. (Abbi was actually right about that; BB&B coupons do lose value past a certain date, which means the coupon is worth only 10% instead of 20% or whatever.)

my partner has a cylinder like this she uses, she got it in the "yoga" section of our grocery store.

infinite zest - 2015-01-27

Oh yeah! My local organic grocery store has a yoga section as well. I always feel bad because I go in there and gorge on the free samples (including beer tasting) and then use the bathroom and buy a 39 cent bottle of water because I feel bad.. maybe they have 'em there and I can finally feel better about myself.

You can also go to Walgreen's and get one of these:

http://www.walgreens.com/store/c/medline-lumbar-back-cushion/I D=prod6037835-product

It's made of squishy foam rubber, but don't let that fool you, it's good for lumbar support.

Also, is your bed too soft? That can be rough on your back too. Consider sleeping on the floor; maybe get a Japanese floor mattress if the floor seems too forbidding on its own. There are benefits to floor-sleeping, among them, the whole world becomes your bed and nap-time is always just around the corner.

I turn out sleeping in different beds a lot of the time, so my own bed's just a little futon on the floor underneath a staircase with a curtain when I'm at home. For 50 bucks a month I can't complain and I like my housemates but I usually sleep with someone else I guess. Almost 33 years old and I've never owned a bed. :)

This is the same idea as a foam roller. I hear those are actually good. I thought that they were just something extra to buy when P90X 2 was pushing them, but I've heard they are really great for keeping post-workout pain away.
It's still just a massage though, nothing magic about it helps you lose weight.

Jack's big balls on Elaine's face

Beard marriage, actually. He was in love with "Dr." Win Paris, who has been a POE exhibit.

fluffy - 2015-01-30

I did not know that but it would not surprise me at all, if true. This seems like the sort of thing that would be all over the Internet but I'm not finding a word of it, though.

I now have to watch everything on this youtube channel.
