Yeah really, even though local Fox stations don't seem to adhere to the "standard" of Fox News in terms of political leanings (I don't think they do, at least not in Oregon) but the last local story I watched was about that cat that got 911 called on it, and even for a story like that, ten minutes was too long. This I legitimately want to see more of and how it unfolds.
I missed St. Louis the first time I watched it. I live half way across the country so I don't know what it's like there, but if race has anything to do with it, then, well, fuck if I know. There's bad cops just like there are bad African Americans. Sometimes African Americans are bad cops. If the firing is out of fear for some race-related retaliation against cops for prosecution, then St. Louis is a lot dumber than I thought.
Bad cops get away with murder, and make good cops seem guilty by association.
Good cops get shat on by bad politicians, and often get made to look like bad cops in the media (not talking about this one here but a former cop who is a friend of the family and got completely railroaded by a higher-up who had been previously sexually-harassing him).
Basically it seems difficult for good cops to stay good in this fucked-up country.
