Seems like if you made it a little more tire shaped but still able to stand up via gyroscopes or however those things work, it'd be pretty hard to detect. Nobody expects a random tire, especially one that moves around on its own when nobody's looki-- fuck it. Stars for SPK and Accidie, I should watch more of that show.

But I think if you mounted night vision cameras on these and put bombs inside, they could make cheap land predators. They look like they are able to navigate over rougher terrain than a small remote control vehicle, and if they fall off a cliff, they are fine no matter what side they land on.

I imagine a thousand cheap versions of these bumping around the mountains and streaming all the footage into a truck somewhere. They would be able to collect a lot more than a drone 5,000 feet above.

Which means fewer dead people that shouldn't be dead.

...because the stationary land mines have such a low civilian body count.

I'm not saying you don't want bad people dead, but I fear you over-estimate the accuracy with which the military can deliver on the promise of even halfway-morally defensible warfare that doesn't result in dead innocents and more radicalization. Not to mention what eventually becomes of the ordinance if one is damaged and can't be recovered.

Just wait. I've seen research into manned war balls in paleofuturistic magazine articles, for both WW 1 and 2. It is immediately apparent that its a retarded idea that will never get past the drawing board, which means it will never become a well-known military tragedy, which means it keeps getting suggested every few decades.

I just hope it will mock the marines when it assigns them points for their kills.
