You know he does make some good points that are often overlooked about flying from one place to another given that the earth spins so fast BUT he overlooked that if you fly in the opposite direction you should arrive their very quickly because the earth is turning China towards you.
We are currently hurtling through space at a fantastic speed. Everything just SEEMS stable because everything is spinning the same direction at the same speed, keeping it consistent. You are still only going 300+ mph in that plane, based on earth land distances. We can't even perceive the motion that we're in - even the stillest zen garden on earth is whipping through space at insane speeds.
Oddeye, what happens is this: the higher up in the air you are, the closer you get to heaven. The closer you get to heaven, the more the angels get jealous. They fly down and grab your plane, only you don't know they're grabbing your plane because they're angels and therefore invisible, they grab your plane and slow it down or speed it up and that makes it SEEM like you're still going the same speed relative to Earth! It's all very complicated, and you need a degree in Angelology, otherwise God will blind you for thinking about it too much.
