If the Chinese government is as ruthlessly efficient as the average Chinese corporation, then there exists at least one propaganda sweatshop that houses hordes of spiritually broken peasants who spam videos like this with an endless stream of barely coherent nationalistic comments.

Are you really going down the road of "every other country must have to pay/force people to be nationalistic"?

baleen - 2015-02-20

It's more of a highway at this point.

What else is China supposed to do with the ones who are too weak for the forced labor gulags?

memedumpster - 2015-02-20

You ever have China Good Team join your raid in an MMORPG, say nothing to you the whole time, grab the best loot, and disconnect?

China is the worst gamer... or maybe... the best.

The fact that there apparently was, at least for a while, a small army of Chinese people that farmed gold in WoW (or some other online questing-type game) which was then sold to other players still blows my mind.

Viod, are you from Taiwan?

SolRo - 2015-02-20

guy with long name; the online game farming still goes on, if anything it's gotten more widespread and sophisticated.

it happens because of the difference in (real) currency value and local wages. (and affordable internet access)

no one in America will farm not-real money for an hour, but that might make you quite rich in a country where the average weekly pay is .

There's a joke in EVE Online that every single miner is a Chinese gold farmer, because who the fuck else would bother with mining?

memedumpster - 2015-02-20

Prisoners do a lot of the video game farming in China. Sounds a lot better than how we use ours to make designer brands and non-weaponized military equipment.

well, no. they don't.
