Can you imagine how pissed a judge is going to be if she sees any of the videos they made? I would love to see that moment.

infinite zest - 2015-02-27

I'm assuming there's another side to the story.. how much weight do youtube videos hold up in court anyway? Like, remember the facebook guy a few months ago that said he was going to shoot up a kindergarten? It was idiotic but it wasn't against the law. That's not the best analogy, but since Nick's an actor, all of his videos could've arguably just been for show and dismissed under some Brandesian precedent, so you're left with somebody that didn't know better.

urbanelf - 2015-02-27

Oh, I don't know that YT videos would have much weight in proving the veracity of the charges, but it might have weight in sentencing. If a judge saw them gloating and celebrating, their blood would curdle and Corky/Tim would have the book thrown at them.

jangbones - 2015-02-27

I am going to say the bragging youtube videos could be very relevant to a few different aspects of this case

StanleyPain - 2015-02-27

There are videos Corky has made that almost certainly would be relevant to his case.
Chief among them:
The video where he sarcastically visits the grave of the woman whose home he stole which links him, by name, to the victim who died BEFORE the date of the forged joint tenancy app being submitted.
The video where he and Tim split a huge stack of cash and all but admit they got the money from a scam.
The video where he and Tim are trolling around the streets of LA looking for abandoned homes, again, all but essentially implying they are looking for homes to scam.

He left a huge trail of videos (the majority of which have been mirrored by some of his more devoted fans) where he basically flat-out talks about the money he made off the scam without actually going into detail or referring to the scam, but so obvious that they probably would admissible in court.

infinite zest - 2015-02-27

Yeah, I just find it interesting, because all of a sudden two POE celebs are facing jail time. I mentioned it before, but I can only assume that the prosecuting side would dismiss the countless Sonic videos, wikis, troll videos, etc. as De Trop as a motivation for Chris Chan's vandalism. Objectively, Chris Chan did commit acts of vandalism and assaulted a Gamestop employee, and Sonic's arms (or Sonic's existence) has nothing to do with it. Bravo's case is more severe, and as Evilhomer said, some jail time would probably be good: white collar crimes don't necessarily put you in the same cell with a psycho killer, and even if he was, he didn't hurt anyone, so basically it's a roof over his head and a place to sober up, which I think is best as well, but I wonder how much his videos would hold up before the defense called bullshit.

infinite zest - 2015-02-27

*man, I've been really good at posting replies right when somebody else is posting a reply lately*

Jet Bin Fever - 2015-02-27

Don't forget, the most serious charge against Chris was about the pepper spraying, not vandalism. I don't know how he could blame trolls for that one.

EvilHomer - 2015-02-28

As I've said before, one needs to read Chris' own detailed accounts of the incident in order to really appreciate what went on:

http://www.sonichu.com/cwcki/26_December_2014#Chris.27s_side_o f_the_story

In particular, the paragraphs beginning "On the way to Sears" and "In the END", as well as the second entry "I Really Wish People would Positively Like Me", "I can not change their minds", and "I have been growing more paranoid". It's entirely possible, indeed even likely, that he's now suffering from PTSD on top of all the other issues he has. The Gamestop incident, while not justifiable from a legal standpoint, was perfectly understandable from a mental health perspective. The looming MALE triggered a stress reaction, and Chris did what anyone who has been a victim of prolonged emotional and sexual abuse might do.

StanleyPain - 2015-02-28

Another thing worth mentioning here:

Something that may very well come up in court with Bravo is whatever transpired a few months ago between him and the rightful owner of one of the properties. Late last year (or maybe earlier?) one of the houses that he was still in ownership of and hadn't sold yet was forcibly transferred back to the legal owner (a relative of the dead woman whose grave he went to in the video). The records of this are gone off the internet because they get pulled when a pending case is going on, but before they got pulled it clearly showed the property changing hands from Nick to the other party for no money. The legal party then sold the house to a relative for a modest sum.

As far as I know, no one, not even Tom Davis, actually knows what transpired here. This could have been the state correcting its error and beginning to compile evidence against Nick and Tim, but it's possible this relative may have actually confronted Nick about it (and this was before he moved into his RV and decided life on the lam was a good idea). I don't think anyone knows for sure. So...whatever happened, I'm sure this will come up in court.

Oscar Wildcat - 2015-02-27

So did Tim buy the house from Corky and flip it? Or did Corky sell it to a third party and split the money with Tim? And who owns the house currently?

Burnov - 2015-02-27

Corky is a broke piece of shit, there is no way he put up the money, IIRC basically "they" (implying more than Tim was involved, as I think is the case) got Corky to be the fall guy for the notary fraud, and for that he was compensated.

There is a video from either 2012 or 2013 in which he gloats in his car about dealing with "hard money lenders" in order to pursue some venture capital scheme, in this case flipping houses.

I have a feeling that the person who gave them the money was probably not an idiot, and that Tim might be in trouble if those people feel threatened by this recent arrest.

Anaxagoras - 2015-02-27

If I'm understanding the con correctly, nobody had to put up any money; it was claimed that the previous occupant simply gave Corky joint custody of the house, Corky mysteriously waited until years after their death to file the papers, and then he shortly thereafter filed the death certificate so the house became his.

I'm not clear on what Corky's partner actually did, or why Corky split the money with him.

SexualBasalt - 2015-02-27

He gets the house but it has to be sold for him to gain any liquid value from it. Someone is putting up the money to buy the house from him and that buyer is the one who flips it.

Burnov - 2015-02-27

SexualBasalt has it.

No, you're right, the notary fraud required no money up front, but again, once Nick had signed HIS NAME to the transfer of the property and faked the notary stamp and signature, he would have to be reimbursed for his efforts and the property transferred.

I could be wrong, but I believe Nick was paid out in short order for his involvement and one video involving Tim and Nick, he could be seen with stacks of cash.

I don't think that Tim just had that money laying around, I think he must've gotten it from somewhere, and I think both Tim and Corky were paid out for their involvement in the deal. The person who put up the money would get the money from flipping the property.

I just hope for the sake of Tim that this person is not connected to organized crime or dangerous people.

Burnov - 2015-02-27

You have to understand that Nick is a witless bum, Tim I believe was the guy who had the connections to do the contracting for some of the work on the property, as well as knowing the people who could put up the money to "buy" it from the duo after they had illegally acquired it.

If nothing else Tim got a fee for knowing the guy who had the money, and Nick got the money for being the actual fall guy and putting his name to fraudulent documents.

baleen - 2015-02-27

Hi Tom Davis.
You're the guy that's been trying to bust this guy for like 2 years right?

Jet Bin Fever - 2015-02-27

Yeah! I didn't know he was a member of our community. He's the guy though, http://newcorky.forumotion.com/t772-corky-arrested

How do you feel about all this baleen? You're one of the only people here to have actually broken the Prime Directive to converse with that piece of shit.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2015-02-27

I really do hope the judge sees these and more of his videos.

Maggot Brain - 2015-02-27

this is where they fucked up, they should have waited two months to report the dead body

Sexy Duck Cop - 2015-02-27

I could suck this quality drama out of a garden hose.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2015-02-27

Welcome aboard, Tom Davis.

Chocolate Jesus - 2015-02-27

Hi Tom.

yogarfield - 2015-02-27

Hi Tom. Great sleuthing.

Chancho - 2015-02-27

Tom Davis fucking rules and if you disagree you can suck Corky's dick in prison

Miss Henson's 6th grade class - 2015-02-27

Hi Tom, love your work!

Cena_mark - 2015-02-27

Why's everyone so being so hard on this guy. Its not like he did anything truly evil like pepper spraying a Gamestop employee.

oddeye - 2015-02-27

I'd be ok with more, not less, shitty retail assistants getting pepper sprayed but I'm not so hot on a family losing their house to a devolved mong

Hooker - 2015-02-27

Yeah, fuck those retail workers and all their charmed lives?

Jet Bin Fever - 2015-02-27

haha, Cena

oddeye - 2015-02-28

no dude, just shitty ones.

Jet Bin Fever - 2015-02-27

Great sleuthery Tom. We've been following Nick for years and years as you can tell and we're pleased to see him getting his just rewards for all his hard work.

StanleyPain - 2015-02-28

Oh, I have another question for anyone who might know:

Did Corky ever deal with that traffic ticket from years back that he kept refusing to deal with until it became this massive legal problem? Is that still hanging over him?

EvilHomer - 2015-02-28

That might be the second pending case listed on the LA County Inmate website, the mysterious one that he has a only few hundred dollars bail for. Someone, I think perhaps on the Corky forum, mentioned that it looked like a traffic court thing.

StanleyPain - 2015-02-28

Man, that is the delightful cherry on top of this fucking thing.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2015-02-28

Such a shame there's no mugshot posted of the Corkster.

Dr Robot - 2015-02-28

Yeah I keep expecting that to show up when I click on these videos.

tomdavis61 - 2015-03-24

Yes, I am the Tom Davis who investigated Nick Bravo and turned the information over to the police that lead to his arrest.

The Youtube videos will carry weight when it comes to sentencing Corky. The case against him is a slam dunk and he's guilty as hell, the evidence against him is overwhelming and there's no way he would win if he went to trial on this case. His best hope of getting out of a lengthy prison sentence is to cooperate and tell the cops what he knows about Tim and G4T's involvement in these two real estate scams and any others. He's hit with 12 felony counts, very serious charges. Even the minimum on all 12 counts is 12 years in state prison. He better cooperate or he'll spend a lot of time in prison. His bail is extremely high and he's hit with 12 counts, they threw the book at him.

His Youtube videos not only show a lack of remorse but a taunting of his victims. He went to his victim's grave sites and taunted them and walked in front of the houses he stole insulting his victim's families and mocking me for investigating him. One of the things judges look for is remorse and there's none of it with Corky. In fact, there is scorn for the law and the victims. So in that respect, Youtube videos carry a lot of weight. Matter of fact, the detective specifically told me that he highlighted the video of Corky at the grave site in his report to the D.A. to make sure they saw it. If Corky has any hope to doing less than a couple years, he better do a complete 180 and beg for mercy and tell them everything he knows about any other involvement in real estate scams.

The videos he made with Tim and the videos of G4T clearly show an involvement with those two in real estate transactions. That's all I'll comment on that situation at this time. Tim's initial involvement goes back to the Tampa Bay area.

StanleyPain, to answer your question about the tranfer of the house on F Street. The Gonzalez family became aware of the situation because I tracked down the grandson and contacted him. At the time, he was in prison on a drug related offense. He contacted his mother and they both wrote to me. As a consequence, the police were able to find Julio Sr's brother, the rightful heir to the property. He got a probate lawyer and they started a court case to declare Nick Bravo's filed deeds null and void due to fraud. So when you see the record of it being transferred from Nick Bravo back to the Gonzalez family, that was due to the ruling of the probate judge in finding that Nick Bravo's paperword was fraudulent.

The traffic ticket is on his list of cases. You'll see it when you look up his inmate record. He failed to appear on the traffic ticket and when they arrested him and ran his name, they discovered it so it was added to his list of charges. A few weeks ago, they woke him up in his cell at 3am, put him in shackles, loaded him up to the police van and dragged his ass to Van Nuys traffic court. The judge gave him a suspended sentence, probably figuring that the guy was in enough trouble already. So that charge is done with for him.

There will never be a mugshot made public of Corky. The LAPD does not release mugshots. Ever. All the celebrity mugshots you see are not in Los Angeles but other outlying jurisdictions such as Malibu, Orange County, etc. If the L.A. cops arrest you, there's no mugshot made public. Unfortunately.

I'm not sure how to take all the negative comments toward me. Sure, I am a troll of Corky's. I made mocking videos of him and laughed at him and followed him. But it became obvious that he was doing fraudulent criminal activity and waving it in front of every one's face. So I started checking him out in real life. Does that make me a stalker or goof ball? I don't think so considering how much suspicion I had that Corky was doing real life fraud. I switched from casual troll to, "Hey wait a minute, this asshole is ripping people off here." I checked the real estate records, got a hold of his forged deeds and then verified that they were forged, and went to the police. Isn't that what most of us would have done? When you discover that some asshole is mocking taxpayers, working people, and veterans and waving around wads of cash is actually ripping off the inheritances of other people, wouldn't you turn him in too? That's what I did. Oh sure, I trolled the shit out of him. Why not? The guy is a scumbag. He deserves it. A lazy bum thief. And I'll continue to troll him.

Say what you will. I personally returned over half a million dollars to their rightful owners and I have not nor did I ask for a dime in return. I didn't want to see assholes like Nick Bravo, Tim or G4T with the money anymore. I feel good about that.

I'm confident that the detectives from the bunco squad who arrested Corky will see this through to the end and arrest everyone involved. I am VERY impressed with those guys, once they took up the case, they found out everything and were right on top of it. They know what they are doing. If I were one of the guys involved in this with Corky, I would be shitting my pants right now.

But if Tim or G4T is not arrested within the next 18 months, I personally pledge to start investigating their asses too. I'll fire up the old Columbo car and personally go to the county clerk's office again and pull up everything they or their wife or fiances or girlfriends have filed and I will inspect the signatures and stamps of each and every one of them. They better make damn sure they are all legit because if not, I will find it. And if I do, they can bet their ass I know exactly where to take it and how to see this through. So don't worry folks, either by the cops or by me, Tim and G4T will be brought to justice if they are guilty. No doubt about that.

Just be patient, be very patient. The cops are good and very thorough but they really take their time. The Corky thing took me and the cops two years total. Be patient. Take solace in the fact that if they are guilty, they will be sweating it out for the next two years.

The Mothership - 2015-03-24
