I'm assuming there's another side to the story.. how much weight do youtube videos hold up in court anyway? Like, remember the facebook guy a few months ago that said he was going to shoot up a kindergarten? It was idiotic but it wasn't against the law. That's not the best analogy, but since Nick's an actor, all of his videos could've arguably just been for show and dismissed under some Brandesian precedent, so you're left with somebody that didn't know better.

Oh, I don't know that YT videos would have much weight in proving the veracity of the charges, but it might have weight in sentencing. If a judge saw them gloating and celebrating, their blood would curdle and Corky/Tim would have the book thrown at them.

I am going to say the bragging youtube videos could be very relevant to a few different aspects of this case

There are videos Corky has made that almost certainly would be relevant to his case.
Chief among them:
The video where he sarcastically visits the grave of the woman whose home he stole which links him, by name, to the victim who died BEFORE the date of the forged joint tenancy app being submitted.
The video where he and Tim split a huge stack of cash and all but admit they got the money from a scam.
The video where he and Tim are trolling around the streets of LA looking for abandoned homes, again, all but essentially implying they are looking for homes to scam.

He left a huge trail of videos (the majority of which have been mirrored by some of his more devoted fans) where he basically flat-out talks about the money he made off the scam without actually going into detail or referring to the scam, but so obvious that they probably would admissible in court.

Yeah, I just find it interesting, because all of a sudden two POE celebs are facing jail time. I mentioned it before, but I can only assume that the prosecuting side would dismiss the countless Sonic videos, wikis, troll videos, etc. as De Trop as a motivation for Chris Chan's vandalism. Objectively, Chris Chan did commit acts of vandalism and assaulted a Gamestop employee, and Sonic's arms (or Sonic's existence) has nothing to do with it. Bravo's case is more severe, and as Evilhomer said, some jail time would probably be good: white collar crimes don't necessarily put you in the same cell with a psycho killer, and even if he was, he didn't hurt anyone, so basically it's a roof over his head and a place to sober up, which I think is best as well, but I wonder how much his videos would hold up before the defense called bullshit.

Don't forget, the most serious charge against Chris was about the pepper spraying, not vandalism. I don't know how he could blame trolls for that one.

It's entirely possible, indeed even likely, that he's now suffering from PTSD on top of all the other issues he has. The Gamestop incident, while not justifiable from a legal standpoint, was perfectly understandable from a mental health perspective. The looming MALE triggered a stress reaction, and Chris did what anyone who has been a victim of prolonged emotional and sexual abuse might do.

Another thing worth mentioning here:

Something that may very well come up in court with Bravo is whatever transpired a few months ago between him and the rightful owner of one of the properties. Late last year (or maybe earlier?) one of the houses that he was still in ownership of and hadn't sold yet was forcibly transferred back to the legal owner (a relative of the dead woman whose grave he went to in the video). The records of this are gone off the internet because they get pulled when a pending case is going on, but before they got pulled it clearly showed the property changing hands from Nick to the other party for no money. The legal party then sold the house to a relative for a modest sum.

As far as I know, no one, not even Tom Davis, actually knows what transpired here. This could have been the state correcting its error and beginning to compile evidence against Nick and Tim, but it's possible this relative may have actually confronted Nick about it (and this was before he moved into his RV and decided life on the lam was a good idea). I don't think anyone knows for sure. So...whatever happened, I'm sure this will come up in court.

Corky is a broke piece of shit, there is no way he put up the money, IIRC basically "they" (implying more than Tim was involved, as I think is the case) got Corky to be the fall guy for the notary fraud, and for that he was compensated.

There is a video from either 2012 or 2013 in which he gloats in his car about dealing with "hard money lenders" in order to pursue some venture capital scheme, in this case flipping houses.

I have a feeling that the person who gave them the money was probably not an idiot, and that Tim might be in trouble if those people feel threatened by this recent arrest.

If I'm understanding the con correctly, nobody had to put up any money; it was claimed that the previous occupant simply gave Corky joint custody of the house, Corky mysteriously waited until years after their death to file the papers, and then he shortly thereafter filed the death certificate so the house became his.

I'm not clear on what Corky's partner actually did, or why Corky split the money with him.

He gets the house but it has to be sold for him to gain any liquid value from it. Someone is putting up the money to buy the house from him and that buyer is the one who flips it.

No, you're right, the notary fraud required no money up front, but again, once Nick had signed HIS NAME to the transfer of the property and faked the notary stamp and signature, he would have to be reimbursed for his efforts and the property transferred.

I could be wrong, but I believe Nick was paid out in short order for his involvement and one video involving Tim and Nick, he could be seen with stacks of cash.

I don't think that Tim just had that money laying around, I think he must've gotten it from somewhere, and I think both Tim and Corky were paid out for their involvement in the deal. The person who put up the money would get the money from flipping the property.

I just hope for the sake of Tim that this person is not connected to organized crime or dangerous people.

You have to understand that Nick is a witless bum, Tim I believe was the guy who had the connections to do the contracting for some of the work on the property, as well as knowing the people who could put up the money to "buy" it from the duo after they had illegally acquired it.

If nothing else Tim got a fee for knowing the guy who had the money, and Nick got the money for being the actual fall guy and putting his name to fraudulent documents.
