infinite zest - 2015-03-26
I've never seen a single Friday The 13th movie. :(

Old_Zircon - 2015-03-26 4 and 2 are the best, followed by 3 and 1. Rest are awful.

infinite zest - 2015-03-27 I should just binge on them. I have 1-5 on VHS but I've never sat down to watch them because nobody else wants to, and I don't like watching movies like these alone (not because I'm scared, but they're just not as fun). Speaking of, in the hopper there's a scene from 5, but it's totally scrambled for me like PPV porn: sound is fine. And it works fine on my iPhone. Between that and the clickhole video, I'm wondering if it's something with my computer?

Old_Zircon - 2015-03-27 1 was a shameless ripoff of Halloween but a pretty good one. Two is a nice sort of slow-burn thing with a lot more character building than you'd expect and nice art direction. 3 was in 3d and is goofy as hell. Starting to get into deliberate self parody but still character driven and obviously trying to bring something new to the genre. 4 has the original director, Corey Feldman and Crispin Glover. IF you only watch one that's probably the one. I don't even remember 5, it is supposed to be pretty bad. After that they're increasingly uninspired, too self aware to work as camp but maybe entertaining f you're in the right mood. I haven't made it more than a couple scenes in to any of the later ones since I was 14 or so. But those first four, especailly 2 and 4, I've seen within the last year and they aged really well.
