'Daddy, why is there so much ocean on the road?'

'Oh honey, don't worry, that's just the planet trying to kill us.'

Old_Zircon - 2015-04-11

It really does look just like Newfoundland.

Maggot Brain - 2015-04-11

That shouldn't be surprising. They're both landscapes carved out by retreating ice caps.

SolRo - 2015-04-11

so...I'm guessing it's impossible to lease a car if you live in that area?

yogarfield - 2015-04-12

file this under "i want to go there"

yogarfield - 2015-04-12

also orcs didn't really die, right?

That guy - 2015-04-12

Orcs didn't really die, and the ocean isn't terrifying.

EvilHomer - 2015-04-12

Orcs did die. :(

Ah damn, RIP.

I made some phone calls to some friends in Birmingham and it seems she was actually friends with some of my friends. From the photos that were posted, I might have actually met her at a party when I was in town a couple months ago. What a small, sad world.

Lurchi - 2015-04-12

I was hoping this would be one of those ten hour long videos.

Meerkat - 2015-04-12

I often think about how I would like to move somewhere so I could be near the ocean, because I love the ocean.

Then I spend about 5 minutes near the ocean and I've had enough of that shit.

SolRo - 2015-04-12

Why not move inland from the ocean a couple miles?

You can be on the ocean all you like, or not.

In my childhood, I used to live by this vehicle bridge that had very little between where the road ends and the bridge ends, to the point that you could look out the passenger window and see the descent off the side. It gave me all kinds of nightmares as a child.

I can only imagine what something like this would have done to me.

craptacular - 2015-04-12

the sea was angry that day my friends
like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli.

chumbucket - 2015-04-13

A few year back I lived in a community that was on an island in a lake. You had to take a road such as this to cross the lake (it was not a bridge). There would be days where the wind would just blow the lake over the road and one year the lake levels rose so high that the approach to the lake was completely flooded but they let cars come through.
