I'm not sure he's dead, since Grey Worm saved him from getting his throat cut. Plus he's alive in the books, not that that matters much anymore.

My least favorite part of season five was when I watched all the leaked episodes and had no new Game of Thrones for a month.

Speaking of the books, apparently GRRM has officially given up. The show will pass the books this season, and then wrap everything up in roughly the manner GRRM was intending for the last couple novels, which will never be written.

George RR Martin has said in interviews that characters will die this season who remain alive in the books. To corroborate this, one blog interviewed an anonymous actor who described learning of his death in grandiloquent terms that would only sound natural coming from an elderly British man.
