Yes, you CAN live in South Dakota, but why would you want to?

The Mothership - 2015-04-21

Well at least its not Idaho.

infinite zest - 2015-04-22

Does Idaho really suck? I'm looking to move this summer and this gal I like wants to go to Boise and take me along, but so far I've heard bad things from people who lived there. I haven't been to Boise but I went skiing in Sun Valley when I was a kid, seemed pretty cool..

I've always gotten the sense that God didn't intend for humans to live in Idaho, and we're only doing so through massive, weird circular irrigation projects that are unsustainable and will eventually incur His Mighty Wrath.

Craters of the Moon National Monument is awesome, though.

The Mothership - 2015-04-22

Idaho is quite beautiful actually, I was just having a go at the horrible people who live in the northern parts.

glasseye - 2015-04-23

Any state that starts with "I" is trouble.

South Dakota: air to breathe and an employer to work for. What more could you ask for?

kingarthur - 2015-04-21

And I thought the bullshit tourism campaigns for coastal Mississippi were stupid.

ashtar. - 2015-04-21

I think the Sioux still want it back. Why not give it to them? Win-win

garcet71283 - 2015-04-21

At first, I read it as "You Can Now Live in South Dakota" and my first thought was "Really? Good for them"

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2015-04-22

This must've been made before gas prices fell. A lot people in the oil & gas industry are getting laid off at the moment.

glasseye - 2015-04-23

You're thinking North Dakota.

Oscar Wildcat - 2015-04-22

They set a pretty low bar out there in flyover country.

duck&cover - 2015-04-22

South Dakota now barely habitable after extensive terraforming.

Billy the Poet - 2015-04-22

Maybe YOU can.

For some reason I know a bunch of people in Portland that are originally from Sioux Falls, most of which are ex girlfriends. When they show me pictures I say how I'd like to visit, and I've never heard people trashtalk any place as much as they do. Example: an ex and her brother were going back to visit family and got pulled over by the cops for going about 2 miles over the speed limit in the middle of the night. The Oregon license plates probably had a lot to do with it. They searched the car for like 2 hours and eventually found a crushed up oxycontin between the seats.. who knows how it got there? ,000 bail. Luckily grandma's rich and got them out, but still.

Scynne - 2015-04-22

Welp, guess I'm moving.

Cube - 2015-04-22

I can see why this is funny, but I can also see Idiocracy coming true piece by piece.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2015-04-22

"WE'RE NOT DETROIT!"

SolRo - 2015-04-22

It will still take you several months to acclimatize to the hydrocarbon-methamphetamine atmosphere.
