Like most technology adopters, we'll just find ways to overclock them. Then you'll just have a bunch of sweaty, sick people walking around with battery powered fans whirring all over their bodies.

This of course assumes that we already understand the actual biological processes so thoroughly that we can create simulations that will provide actual, meaningful results instead of the results we expect based on our current understanding of biology.

I have a suspicion that simulating organs will be about as reliable as simulating economics. because these simulations are designed according to existing theories it seems unlikely that they could produce outcomes outside of the scope of those theories. They seem like they have some potential as an engineering tool but not as a research tool.
