90s tag is so apt. This is a veritable tsunami of the early 90s.

Yellow Lantern - 2015-05-27

I can't believe Pixar is basically making a movie of this.

infinite zest - 2015-05-27

Damnit, I missed the "basically.."

NancyDrewFan123 - 2015-05-27

Wait, this show was on for three seasons. I always assumed it was canceled after like 8 episodes.

infinite zest - 2015-05-27

Yeah me too. I think it was when fox was constantly playing musical chairs (like Simpsons on Thursday, then to Sunday, then back and back again, etc.) I actually assumed the simpsons was cancelled at one point, which sucks because I think it was season 4. I saw them later of course but in syndication years later. I kind of liked this show. It was kind of like that segment in Woody Allen's Everything You Wanted to Know About Sex with Tony Randal and Burt Reynolds inside Allen's brain during ejaculation.

Old_Zircon - 2015-05-27

Before I searched for it today I thought the same thing, I would have been surprised enough to learn that it lasted a complete season, much less 3.

hammsangwich - 2015-05-27

Perfect Strangers was on the air for 8 seasons.

The Mothership - 2015-05-27

Oh my god this show.

Ugh - 2015-05-27

when i first heard about this, i was really hoping it was a pee-wee spin-off

infinite zest - 2015-05-27

Herman's head was how Pee Wee got arrested.

Old_Zircon - 2015-05-27

This is how it happened.

Hehe.. I'm so glad everybody's forgiven him and he's back to being pee wee. I mean, compare that to the guy who voiced Elmo, and they didn't retire the chRacter or anything🐘

Prickly Pete - 2015-05-27

I dug this show, I used to watch it every week.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2015-05-27

Good god early 90s Fox TV was home to some truly terrible shows.

infinite zest - 2015-05-27

Counterpoint: Brisco County Jr., Get A Life, The Ben Stiller Show, x files..

I'm watching fox right now. They are premiering a show where people get shot out a cannon. The show is hosted by the Twilight vampire. The show is an hour long. Why did I not bring a book?

infinite zest - 2015-05-27

Also it's kind of off topic but how exactly do these shows work? Everybody always says what they do for a living and if they plan on doing well or winning, then that's way longer than maternity leave and accrued pto would cover, assuming they have jobs with those perks. I dunno, it was one thing when it was just a few shows but it wouldn't surprise me if there were more than 1000 of these shows.. I dunno, if I told my work that I was going to be gone so I could do something really stupid, I'm guessing they'd say good luck, because they're nice, and assume it's my two weeks notice, because they're logical human fucking beings.

hammsangwich - 2015-05-27

This is The Godfather compared to Two Broke Girls.

Hailey2006 - 2015-05-28

Do you think people are going to start saying "Inside Out" the new Disney movie is a rip off of this

CIWB - 2015-05-28

I remember liking this when I was a kid. Why all the hate? At least it had an original premise and wasn't the 1,000,000th rehash of Friends.

Save your hate for all the generic "goofy middle-aged manchild doesn't always get along with his wife" sitcoms that refuse to die.

Bort - 2015-05-28

"Herman's Head" did at least feature a main character who had to wrestle with conflict and ambivalence, which was kind of the point of having the four monsters living inside his head. I'm not going to claim that Herman was a richly nuanced, psychologically complex character with depth rarely seen in drama or literature, but for Sunday night TV he did pretty well.

infinite zest - 2015-05-28

Yeah.. I liked it; it was either on right before or after The Simpsons and Married With Children was on after that.. these days you can quickly pull up the guide on your remote and see what else is on, but back then you were pretty much stuck with 4 channels, and if you did have cable, you had Prevue Guide, which took forever to cycle back around, so you'd probably miss the first couple of minutes of something else anyway. So it was funny, and for me anyway, pretty smart.
