If John Cassavetes were alive today and a 30-something I imagine he would make videos like this with his friends.

baleen - 2015-06-01 I never ruined Lovecraft.
Are you saying that this particular collective of midwestern comedy guys ruined Lovecraft? Who ruined Lovecraft?

Nominal - 2015-06-01 What about Lovecraft boardgames?

baleen - 2015-06-01 Or Lovecraft-inspired P&P RPG's like Call of Cthulhu and Palladium's Beyond the Supernatural?

baleen - 2015-06-02 I've never gotten into Arkham Horror but if you really go all out with the expansions and sleaving the cards and everything I'm sure you could hit 0 easy.

Intoxication is something to celebrate and something that makes you more enjoyable to other, sober people. Also, wittier.
I remember, in one of the just-after-graduation-but-before-college gatherings, when my circle of friends would meet and drink, someone had the idea of playing a board game while drunk because, hey, that's wacky, right? Turns out the already quickly-tedious activity that is playing a board game becomes something nobody playing wants to do any more much quicker when the participants have been drinking. There is the initial enthusiasm of doing something, then a significant period of realizing that this sucks but surely it's far too early to quit, and then, thankfully, after everyone's had maybe one or two turns, everyone gives up and wanders off.

baleen - 2015-06-02 Every single game I play with my friends involves lots of laughing and drinking. I guess I come from some horrible ancient culture of getting drunk and playing games.
I'M REALLY SORRY FOR CROSSING THIS LINE POETV
IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN
