The Girl Next Door was the most tonally schizophrenic movie I've ever seen. It's a teen sex comedy, but told completely straight. Its message is "sex is natural and shouldn't be shameful", but it was too scared to show any hint of sex or nudity. It had ticking time bomb scenes told with no urgency whatsoever. It was a universe where teen boys were disgusted by porn, in a movie allegedly telling us that sex & porn were natural and great.

Well then. She seems well-adjusted.
