I remember hearing about something like this affecting the stars in Puget Sound back around 2010?

First 30 seconds sets it up. Next 3 minutes is just a basic recap of starfish and lizards breaking off their limbs in response to predators. Final 60 seconds literally just says, "Oh yeah, back to the zombie star fish. It's a virus. We don't know anything else. Bye!"

Poor little critters. :(

As Nominal has already pointed out, this documentary is pretty trashy and dumb. Also, I'm not so sure "spitting out your own stomach to digest prey" qualifies as a "super-power". I would think that being able to eat food whole, then digest it safely within the confines of your own body, is the real super-power.

C'mon starfish. You're at least 5 years too late to the zombie craze. Hire a new PR firm.
