You mean the professors will have their revenge, or just be more informative in their Anthro Studies? I can see being against bullying a whole lot, but by then, anthros will probably be a lot more accepted, if the concept lasts and doesn't get played out.

I think it would be cool if those professors would pass their knowledge of being attacked and put down to other groups that are forming and don't have that knowledge yet.

Are visible boners a common problem for fursuiters?

Hi Homer, I've never seen it or thought about this before, I guess most suits are so thick and plush that it would be hard to tell. I'm not in fursuit circles to have heard if it's a problem, but I can see it happening since fursuiting is usually exciting.

It can be arousing to see oneself as your animal or as a character you like and realize you look like that to others and have brought that image to life, something that's normally just a fantasy. That stirs some powerful emotions in some Furries.

I can't bark it's happened to me as far as I know, I'm thinking about performance and being aware of my surroundings while having less than ideal vision in Papey. I try to let the feeling of being a Dog wash over me and enjoy it, while at the same time thinking about everything else that's going on, there's no time for sexy thoughts.

I do think that when real anthro animals happen, if society is still so modest, they'll be wearing some kind of clothes.

I was thinking the fur would be too thick for a boner to show up, too, but OZ is right; there is definitely something going on down there at 5:00! It could be that his fursuit, specifically, is made of too-thin material, or maybe it's just that fursuiters tend not to post pictures and videos of fursuit boners, publicly, online? Maybe it's a trade secret, I don't know; like you, I'm not in fursuit circles, and everything I know about fursuits comes from what they're willing to tell outsiders.

I think I've barked to you about this before, but I'd be interested in getting a fursuit for myself. Not for furry stuff, of course, but just to say I have one, and to use for things like Youtube videos and public musical performances. Since I'm not a furry, I'm not willing to pay full price for a fursuit; do you know if there's any way to get fursuits for really cheap?

For example: my friend's band is opening for GWAR in couple months. How cool would it be to show up and play a song with them while wearing a fursuit?

Another idea: film me fucking around on the piano, but wear a fursuit while I do it! I'd like to record/film some songs at some point, but I am quite camera shy and would feel much more comfortable dressed in a costume; I could be like Buckethead with his bucket of chicken.

Thanks Homer, I know from my experiences and what others relate to me about costuming and stuff. It can be an exhilarating experience for some with the right personality type, and I'd encourage anyone who thinks they might like it to work up the nerve to try it.

Well, I think if you're not someone who sews and you don't have the time or inclination to collect the materials and noodle it out, then you could go for a cheaper mass produced costume from one of the mascot sales places, like where stores and groups get their publicity and outreach suits made.

Then, what you could do to make it special and your own is mod it, like with your character's own traits you see or would like to have, like add a mohawk. As long as you'd get the generic Canine costume, it could work, because the Dog shape is familiar across the species, so you're accessorizing to personalize it. If you could handle that or have a friend do it, you might be a Pitbull to be proud of.

Maybe it's just an odd bulge in the suit? Sometimes when wearing a heavier suit you can get an odd crease or bend in the fabric that makes it look like its sticking out. Goddamn, this chat has me now looking at furry crotches to verify if a boner is or is not present what in the actual fuck.

EH: Stuff like that is harder than it looks. I've ended up in mascot outfit (a punk-rock-styled catgirl masoct for a Japanese pop band) before and half the time in there I had my eyes closed because it didn't really make any difference. My handler just led me around and I did the cartoon exaggerated walk to make sure I didn't trip on anything and to clear a path and waved at nobody in particular since I couldn't see anyway. They could have pointed me at a brick wall and I wouldn't have known the difference. Most aren't that bad, but get to know your furry prison and get lots of practice in first.

I think I told the story on here but I could've been backstage and everything but I was really depressed at the time; it was the last time I could've seen Oderus.. Definitely seeing them next time. Badideas - that sounds like fun! Probably a pain in the ass while it was actually happening, but I can imagine big fursuit + lots of drunk people + not being able to see a goddamn thing would = memorable times.

Actually, no, belay that, I don't think Jared was ever in this one. It's most of the guys from his old band, but I think he was in Nethereal, their previous death metal outfit, not Xenosis.

Anyways, not to play favorites or anything, but the lead guitarist, Ernie, is most definitely the guy to watch! The stuff on Xenosis doesn't showcase his talents and completely fails to do him justice, but he's very shy and hasn't released any of his jazz fusion stuff... yet. I'll let you know if I can convince him to record some of his Shawn Lane style jams.

EH: Yeah, it was a lot of fun, so I'd say totally go for it. Or at the very least, it's a really weird experience (being surrounded by a thousand people but all your world is the inside of a suit) that is either a lot of fun or a total NOPE moment. I was in that thing for four hours (with periodic breaks) because the person who was supposed to swap with me wore it for about two minutes before tapping out. Probably for the best for her since I sweated out several pounds in that thing.

I'm not planning on fursuiting anytime soon, but it is a lot of fun getting to perform when you're effectively free of your "self" so to speak. Even as a cosplayer when your disguise is convincing enough to fool your friends it's a lot of fun.
