However, let me say: I have come to the understanding that my reaction to this is 100 per cent emotion, and anyone who has a different response is entitled to it. If you live around there, feral pigs probably seem more like giant rats, and less like Babe.

Some people, maybe most people, react to animals on an emotional level. There's no right or wrong to it.

Fuck the feral pigs. They do massive amounts of ecological damage. If they can die to feed an endangered species, so much the better.
All of you who are disturbed by the noises the pig made, this is what nature looks and sounds like. While the BBC nature documentaries have done a good job of spreading knowledge and getting people to give a shit about the natural world, they do tend to sanitize the raw brutality of it with video editing and cutesy sound effects.
