What. Is. Happening. This. Is. Insane. I. Don't. Understand.

Killer Joe - 2015-10-27

...I think she's conflating "hard work" with "getting shat upon".
You can absolutely work hard AND get shat upon (like her slave example), but there are plenty of people that work their ass straight off and get paid very well for it (lawyers putting in 70 hours a week).
The other permutations:
Not working hard and not getting shat upon - trust fund babies and other idle rich, I guess
Not working hard and getting shat upon - the lazy poor perhaps?

Cena_mark - 2015-10-27

Don't forget the working poor. They work hard and most certainly get shat upon.

infinite zest - 2015-10-27

Wait.. so if I don't work hard I can get a job at MSNBC?

takewithfood - 2015-10-27

His face at 0:50

yogarfield - 2015-10-27

that is the greatest pucker of confusion of all time.

memedumpster - 2015-10-27

What the fuck!?

dairyqueenlatifah - 2015-10-27

She even used "privilege" in the Tumblr context.

Haha. Fuck everything.

The Mothership - 2015-10-27

My brain is working hard trying to get a handle on what that person just said.

M-DEEM - 2015-10-27

Robin Kestrel - 2015-10-27

^5

Rosebeekee - 2015-10-27

But Tumblr told me that the Irish never faced discrimination or hardship. Now who do I believe?

Bus_Aint_Comin - 2015-10-28

the irish were never considered white. their rallying cry during the draft riots was "i'm going to kill every white man i see". the "Anglo-Saxon-Protestant" is involved in WASP for a reason.

Spaceman Africa - 2015-10-27

You've seen it here folks, firsthand evidence of the SJW infiltration of MSNBC. This is what we're fighting against, gentlemen.

StanleyPain - 2015-10-27

People who use the term "SJW" are good at making rape threats, domestic violence threats, and generally harassing people who don't agree with them about pretty much anything, but haven't really done much fighting about anything, unless you count histrionic levels of cyber-bullying of pretty much any woman who crosses their path as some of kind social progress.

There are plenty of rational, intelligent people speaking out against this kind of unreasonable, kneejerk slacktivism nonsense on display here in the clip...none of them are part of that "internet warrior manbaby" crowd.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2015-10-27

What?

Cena_mark - 2015-10-27

I haven't heard of how awful SJWs are at bullying until recently. You'd think bullying is anti-social justice. A few days ago SJWs drove a Steven Universe fan-artist to attempt suicide because she drew Rose Quartz too thin and thus was being prejudiced against fat people, and that she was racist for drawing Sardonix with white people hair.

Spaceman Africa - 2015-10-27

This lady seems like a classic SJW, probably using MSNBC to make in-roads for their agenda. Call it what it is, guys.

memedumpster - 2015-10-27

SJW's work too hard, this would be against their idiom.

This woman is a SubGenius, and X Day is here.

Bobonne - 2015-10-27

Some people would be bullies no matter their "ideology". Usually because bullying makes them feel good, so they try to find good reasons to bully others; becoming an asshole cop, an asshole social worker, an asshole priest, or any number of activism causes in which they can be an asshole at people who disagree with them, even if their cause is a good one.

Just look at all the asshole PETA members or the assholes that show up for borderline Black Bloc behavior at protests.

From what I hear, this whole 'SJWs bullied a fan artist to near-death' started with some sort of contrived 'the color blue triggers me, please don't use it in any art' thing, which this artist laughed at, because tumblr's background/whatevers are blue, so it's just a nonsensical request. And then various people used that as an excuse to go after them, piling on whatever else they could find as excuses for their behavior.

No group will ever be immune to having assholes within its ranks. Not so long as they have humans. Because we're REALLY good at finding justification for why we get to hurt other people and be the good guys in the equation, no matter the logic or facts that might get in the way.

Doc Victor - 2015-10-27

De-beak the squid, brother, the time is nigh!

Oscar Wildcat - 2015-10-27

Let the almighty head of Arnold Palmer slip the surly bonds of Earth and touch the face of Bob!

Rosebeekee - 2015-10-27

Which group made death threats against Laci Green again?

Nominal - 2015-10-27

"I don't like people who use the term 'SJW' because they are all serial rapists and wife beaters and harass anyone they don't like."

Amazing levels of self awareness.

Spaceman Africa - 2015-10-27

That's true, people calling out SJWs include our neighbors and family, just regular people.

ashtar. - 2015-10-27

Ugh. *chan reactionaries are horrible, but that doesn't mean I won't call stuff like I see it. This really is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard a human say. I'm a fan of social justice–really, I'm TAing a class on Rawls right now and I have a serious JHM-style crush for Martha Nussbaum–but playing victim Olympics, righteous indignation as entertainment, and activism in the form of language policing is fucking gettingstuffdoneaboutalltheproblems cancer.

Hazelnut - 2015-10-28

Hot damn, haven't heard some good SubGenius chatter in years. Praise "Bob"!

Potrod - 2015-10-28

The 4chan idiots make death threats, therefore the people they hate are above criticism, is how it works apparently?

Clearly some people haven't heeded the lessons of the Alien Vs. Predator series.

Xenocide - 2015-10-28

Yeah, this is a monumentally stupid thing to say. But it's ultimately meaningless; no one is going to take this lady seriously, despite the oceans of digital ink soon to be spilled over it at a subreddit near you.

I think the big problem here (which both sides are guilty of, but which only one side seems to resort to in every goddamn situation*) is people escalating these small stupidities to monumental world-smashing calamities in their minds.

*If you don't know which side I mean, go tell a redpill kid that Anita Sarkeesian just announced she enjoys Tetris, and count how many seconds until he's openly fantasizing about stabbing her. If you get to double digits, email me for your free milkshake.

Caminante Nocturno - 2015-10-28

"It's okay when my side does it."

That guy - 2015-10-27

I'm just gonna leave these stars here and keep moving before I accidentally watch this.

infinite zest - 2015-10-27

I'll put your stars up on my wall just to remind me.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2015-10-27

Shit like this makes me want to vote Republican.

Anaxagoras - 2015-10-28

Really?

If someone says "You should never use fire because you might get burned", does that make you want to stick your hand in a fire?

If someone says "Children are perfect angels and should never be criticized" does that make you want to shoot an 8 year old?

No? Then maybe a dumbass who misapplies & overapplies liberal thought shouldn't inspire the desire to go conservative.

That guy - 2015-10-28

crap analogies

infinite zest - 2015-10-28

Hey That guy, wanna play "Reverse Firemen" and run kids back into buildings on fire later?

Caminante Nocturno - 2015-10-28

If someone can't understand hyperbole, does that

That guy - 2015-10-29

yeah sounds fun man

That guy - 2015-10-27

What greater group are you referring to here?

Not all language police are as fucktarded as this one?
Not all MSNBC hosts?

Bus_Aint_Comin - 2015-10-28

#notallMSNBChosts

Nikon - 2015-10-27

And then poetv was a redpill.

MacGyver Style Bomb - 2015-10-27

Somebody call Chet.

Prickly Pete - 2015-10-27

You people did this.

memedumpster - 2015-10-27

Praise Bob, get slack, Brother!

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2015-10-27

COTTON FIELTH

namtar - 2015-10-27

Of all the people on MSNBC, Melissa Harris Perry is the worst.

Her sucking of the Obama administration's dick during the Snowden revelations was pretty disgusting, on par with Fox News during George W's time.

Also, she's only slightly more black than Rachel Dolezal.

That guy - 2015-10-27

Classic. That's just about the only fact about her that you could have pointed out that would make her annoying to me.

Did she say Snowden was trying to white-splain it to Obama?

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2015-10-27

She is occasionally entertaining when she makes such a tremendously stupid gaffe she actually has to apologize (like when she made fun of Mitt Romney for his family adopting a black baby) or her incredibly unfunny attempts at humor (the race card bit). The truth is she is awkward to watch and she fucking sucks.

I don't want to watch someone on the news that requires more therapy than I do.

namtar - 2015-10-28

Here's her bizarre open letter to Snowden that ROUS posted back in the day:

http://www.poetv.com/video.php?vid=125046

That guy - 2015-10-28

holy crap

Caminante Nocturno - 2015-10-27

The term "I feel you" is offensive to victims of sexual violence.

Do you want to see the pictures I keep on my wall to remind me of that?

Nikon - 2015-10-28

Using the word "it" triggers the Knights of Ni, so don't use that in the future. Also check your privilege, or something.

yogarfield - 2015-10-30

WOW

BiggerJ - 2015-10-27

I haven't even watched it yet and it already clearly needs a 'not the onion' tag.

Albuquerque Halsey - 2015-10-28

i feel you

BHWW - 2015-10-28

Breaking news, Melissa Harris Perry is kind of dumb.

Binro the Heretic - 2015-10-28

Wow...that was a bad way to get the point across.

chumbucket - 2015-10-28

"finally someone said it so I can spew this tirade I've been keeping in my brain on air!"

Two Jar Slave - 2015-10-28

She must be so much fun at board game night.

That guy - 2015-10-28

We should invite her over for Cards Against Humanity.

jimmyboblahey - 2015-10-28

MSNBC is the Fox News of leftists

Miss Henson's 6th grade class - 2015-10-28

I look forward to stupid conservatives bringing this up for the next couple of decades.

Enjoy - 2015-10-28

Well I am enjoying the fact that she called out an Latino on his choice of words. One of the admirable identities of the Latino community is their hard work. Maybe she should put a Jesus & Mary Candle on her mantel to reminder herself not to disparage Latinos so much.

DriverStabby - 2015-10-29

Wot's this about niggers?

pyslexic dharmacist - 2015-11-20

Does she ever actually say the words "offensive to slaves?"

Yeah, I didn't think so.

Caminante Nocturno - 2015-12-15

Looks like you found a nice little loophole for your GIRLFRIEND to crawl through!
