Hilarious. I prefer to slap a bangin' donk on it though.

I am shocked by the ongoing lack of videos of Ed Grimley dancing to gabber. It seems like the kind of thing that should have been on Youtube since before Youtube existed.

Anaxagoras - 2015-11-03

That's not really gabba. Gabba is a little faster, much more monotonous, complete crap, and... oh, hello 1:20.

Yeah, that's the stuff.

StanleyPain - 2015-11-03

Yet, when you slow it down just a little (as the video in the hopper attests to), a lot of gabber turns into fucking awesome electro-wave/acid type stuff.

fedex - 2015-11-03

see my other sub in the hoppah

fedex - 2015-11-03

oh you saw it

That guy - 2015-11-03

My brain has decided this is tongue in cheek because my brain can handle it more easily that way.

Have you met the Dutch? Before today I had no idea gabber came from Holland, but in retrospect it's obvious. It's quintessentially Dutch. Kinda like how Sven Vath is quintessentially German. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5hTAPpVKA8)

BTW, the difference in music styles is a perfect summation of the differences between the two peoples. The Germans, for all their awkwardness and self-important ridiculousness, are still kinda fun. The Dutch... not so much. Remember, Germany has given us Bach, Beethoven, and Kraftwerk. The Dutch have given us some shitty painters and a bunch of merchants.

fedex - 2015-11-03

I don't really think calling Rembrandt a shitty painter is fair

1394 - 2015-11-03

If it ain't dutch it ain't much.

Old_Zircon - 2015-11-03

The dutch can throw a pretty decent genocide, though.

Anaxagoras - 2015-11-03

Yeah, fair enough. There are several Dutch Masters who aren't "crap". But I don't like their stuff, so I half-assedly stand by my original statement.

Sort of.

Rembrandt knew what he was doing, but his students painted most of his stuff for a lot of his career, he usually just did the layout and painted the faces of the people who commissioned the pieces.

If you ever happen to be in the Louvre, a fun game is to look at all of the Rubens stuff on display and find the stock pieces that were painted the same way over and over. My favorite is a pack of three hunting dogs with one looking to the side that shows up basically identically in almost every painting that has anything to do with hunting or the country, and was also in at least half a dozen of the paintings by his students that were on display when I was there.

Or maybe that's Reubens, I forget. At any rate, the Rodin museums way better.

I like this version much better

Dance like nobody's watching, and like hopefully nobody's in a 5 foot radius of you either.

poorwill - 2015-11-03

I thought the first bit of music was pretty ok really - not embarrassing.

Miss Henson's 6th grade class - 2015-11-03

Looks like a pretty good cardio workout.

1394 - 2015-11-03

alles naar de klote!

Old_Zircon - 2017-05-06

I just came in here to point out that gabber dancing is more or less an amalgam of some traditional Eastern European folk dances performed like you don't remember all the steps and are also trying to hold in a giant shit.
