This was a Trident II (D5) submarine launched ballistic missile (SLBM) that was launched off the Southern California Coast. It could be seen from Mexico to San Francisco, and perhaps farther north. The missile target was the Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. And apparently, though this missile had a single dummy warhead, the D5 can have up to 14 mirvs.
Last nite on the beeb, a Russian Silverback was grunting words to the effect that he is shitting special shit that can be flung through the antishit defense systems being developed by Western primates.
