What's weird is that as a walk/bicyclist these cars have always pissed me off. I always used to know when a car was coming, even over the rain, but now I can't! And since I get off work around midnight there's lots of fast and probably drunk Prius drivers everywhere! So if you're going to have a commercial showing off how x-treme the new Prius is, then make it make some noise somehow! Just play this song on loop for all I care.

Maybe you could start a grass roots movement to get President Trump to mandate whistle tips in all Priuses.

Ha! Had to look up what a whistle tip was. Yeah, the electric car (or at least a hybrid) will help save the planet, and after nearly getting hit by a Prius whose driver probably had a heart attack with her foot on the pedal, quietly crashing into 3 cars and a laundromat nearly hitting me I cut off my left earbud on one of my headphones a long ago so I'd be aware of my current surroundings when I'm biking; drivers should do something similar. It gets really bad when I'm coming home from work, which is around bartime. Lots of people drink and drive or just speed, especially at night. :(

Also the problem with electric cars is I think the charging power is something like 200 miles, so forget about road trips! Turns out Sioux Falls doesn't have a charging station at the pump, and probably never will :/
