this site is sorely lacking in stock abe vigoda footage, so far that i give three stars for you letting abe slip through the cracks. abe was sorely neglected by this site, even betrayed. it's fucking troubling.

goddamnit it, neworcs, that's not how rating works

There also wasn't a lot of Bowie stuff on here (except for the usual song suspects) until a couple of weeks ago; same goes for Alan Rickman. It's just what happens when people die and you eulogize them best you can, even if you may have taken it for granted one day earlier.

Old_Zircon - 2016-01-27

People like a tidy narrative and the only way to give a life a tidy narrative is to die That's why so many real innovators and eccentrics tend to be ignored in life and become famous postmortem, but it also plays out in a less extreme way with pretty much everyone. That and it's a way for people to cope with the reminder of their own mortality.

Old_Zircon - 2016-01-27

But That Guy is right, stars on't work that way. The way you star a video is if it's really good it gets 5, if it's really bad it gets 5, if it's inoffensively unmemorable it gets no stars, and if it has no redeeming qualities it gets 3. 1 star is reserved for baiting people, and nobody has ever rated a video 2 stars.

Stars for Zircon's perfect breakdown.

Jet Bin Fever - 2016-01-27

Hey man, 2 star is a very special kind of rating. It's what you use when something is just too boring and not infuriating enough for a 1 star but isn't even average enough for a 3. I've had many 2 star ratings in my time, including your well-reviewed "Justin Beiber caught on video saying 'nigger'" clip.

It's unbelievable we have the technology to store images and sound from 30 years ago and send them virtually anywhere in the world, but WE STILL CAN'T FRICKIN' NORMALIZE THE AUDIO BEFORE WE DO IT.
