Anaxagoras - 2016-02-02
*This* is why New Age crap isn't worthless.
I'll happily put up with some hippy rambling on about chakras and energy if it also produces cool music & visuals like this.

oddeye - 2016-02-02 I didn't get any new age vibe from this.
|
Anaxagoras - 2016-02-02 It's suffused with a certain branch of New-Age-y bullshit. It's the same branch that grossly misunderstands & Westernizes Indian spirituality and gloms on to GOA trance.
It's a bit more explicit in this Aisha Devi song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INxLrU0iXyQ
Good music, though.

kingarthur - 2016-02-02 I think Aisha Devi herself is half Nepalese half Swede. I don't know if that gives her a bit more cultural insight due to her potential upbringing or what have you, but there you go.

Anaxagoras - 2016-02-02 Yeah, I saw an interview with Aisha Devi, and she seems pretty grounded.
In any case, it's neither here nor there. Her music is what matters, and it's pretty awesome.

Miss Henson's 6th grade class - 2016-02-02
Reminds me of my old Rabbit in the Moon records, the weird bigness of it. Their take on God Within's "The Phoenix," most specifically.

Anyway, the person who made this (who also goes as Kate Wax) seems to be half-Tibetan, which may or may not alter your calculations.
