More specifically, it's a Doctor Who spin-off show called "Torchwood" - a propaganda mouthpiece for the Anglo security-industrial complex thinly disguised as the BBC's version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Each week it follows the adventures of gay British heartthrob Captain Jack and his team of Reaganaut shadow-government operatives, as they fight aliens, violate the public's civil liberties, and disregard national sovereignty. It's trashy, but fun (if you're into that sort of thing!)

Even more specifically, this episode of Torchwood is predictive programming focusing on martial law and mass childhood indoctrination by the global elites. The 456, a Reptilio/Illuminati-style race of aliens who molest children and control the drug trade (seriously) tried to engineer a global Maoist cultural revolution by using alien wifi signals to mind-control the youth. Luckily, Captain Jack figures out a way to reverse the mind-control waves and explodify those darn aliens; his plan - occult child sacrifice facilitated via martial law - is what you just watched here. I'm guessing this episode is either flat predictive programming, or else it represents a split between the Anglican branch of the globalist establishment and their slicker, more media-saavy American/CIA cousins. Possibly a little bit of both?

If you want my -opinion-, I'd say it's nowhere near as good as Dr Who. It's slightly better than Buffy and slightly worse than Primeval; something to watch if you're a hardcore Who fan, a budding fascist, or a lonely British housewife, but otherwise not a priority.

You need to choose a candidate for each of the major officer positions (Captain, chief medical, comms etc) and, due to some kind of temporal space anomaly, you can pick any Star Trek character ever, regardless of where or when he lived.

I lost all interest in Torchwood after this episode. I don't care for how coldly the child was treated by Jack, and I dislike Harkness as a character due to this when I used to really like him. I find the callous regard for the child's feelings is disgusting when he is saving a population, very disrespectful.
