VR will bring this style back in beautiful catastrophic zoetropes of vomitous migraines.

Old_Zircon - 2016-03-31

Had a copy of their VHS in middle school, good stuff.

Old_Zircon - 2016-03-31

(not this one, the one I have was about half live footage of them).

Old_Zircon - 2016-03-31

Can't find anything about the live part of it. Chronologically it had to be the gulf war tape plus some other stuff, I mostly remember a pretty long section with handheld footage of two of them in some kind of spinning armature with video monitors all over it, but I can't for the life o me find that footage on line.

Old_Zircon - 2016-03-31

Maybe it was footage the guy who copied the tape for me shot himself.

Old_Zircon - 2016-03-31

Incidentally, according to Wikipedia, a member of EBN was one of the people who developed AfterFX.

fedex - 2016-03-31

now THAT is cool, as a lover of both EBn and AfterFX

That's definitely the thing but I don't recall nearly so many quick cuts, although I've definitely seen that clip too so maybe I'm just mixing up the two in my head. I'm almost 100% sure what I had was in the summer of '91 though, which would make it a copy of the gulf war tape since this came out in '92. I forget. I only had one VCR at the time so I couldn't make my own copy (technically I didn't OWN the copy I had, a guy who worked at the shop where my mom was manager at the time loaned me his for a few months - he and a couple of his other coworkers were also responsible for introducing me to early Butthole Surfers, Gwar, Melvins, Cathedral, Pungent Stench, Dread Zeppelin, the first Prodigy album before they got huge, and Cannibal Corpse in middle school, as well as giving me a cassette of Thing Fish - up to that point I'd only ever heard/owned the Apostrophe'/Overnite Sensation CD. So I owe them all big time for generally improving my taste if I do say so myself. Before that I was mostly listening to a jumbled mess of Tchaikovsky, Weird Al, MC Hammer and Black Sabbath.

I remember catching this on public access now and then, along with psychic tv.
