In light of the conversation below I feel I should clarify that my 5 stars are for this being punishingly mediocre.

It was literate, it was funny, and the unabashed amateurism just adds to the fun. The simplicity of the gags reminds me of something Alfred Hitchcock said about Luis Bunuel: "the minimum effort for the maximum effect".

No. Just because this was at the level of a Monty Python imitation joke doesn't imply that it is "good", and really it should imply that it's crap, much like a Monty Python imitation joke. This was garbage, and it's important that people recognize it as such so we can all avoid wasting our time.

OK, watched it again to make sure I'm not missing anything. And the results? I'm not missing anything. This is not entertaining, interesting, informative, etc. I'd guess it's here because it features poetv in particular. That's fun and all, but beyond that thesis crap.
