Though as to this video: I won't claim to have fact-checked the whole thing, but I was a little surprised to learn that Constantinople was around in 100 BC.
I really dig how many of the pre-Columbian American cities appear without explanation & don't really show population growth or decline.... largely because we don't really know how, when, or why many of them ebbed and flowed. Hell, there are a couple "cities" that some archaeologists theorize weren't really cities at all, but were merely ceremonial centers that temporarily housed people.
It's shocking how much we don't know about pre-Columbian civilizations.... but we're making large strides forward all the time. Definitely the most interesting area of ancient history, in my mind.
