There used to be an Olde Country Buffet in Olympia that was staffed by prison day laborers so they couldn't quit. They found this was a good system, but they had to hire two kitchen observers to just watch them cook all day and report any adulteration of food to the prison authorities.
Even though you never see or hear the person behind the camera I feel like you learn a lot about them over the course of the film and even get to understand them a little. I particularly like the way they slowly take in all the food until they get to the salad section, where they can't even bring themselves to look at it and their pace quickens to a waddle.
And their first trip is so ruthless. I can forgive the macaroni and cheese with the drumstick next to the slice of pizza... but topping it off with French toast? That's not necessarily master level, but it's definitely above average buffeting.
