As far as a fan film goes, this is pretty damned true to the original, given the lack of budget or talking food products.

The was a causal relationship between the budget and the musical guests - since they had musical acts (and a lion tamer) on, the show was classified as a variety programme and got a bigger budget. Hence, for example, Vyvyan's version of Murder in the Dark, which consisted entirely of turning the light off and smashing things.
