Arise will always stick with me for one reason: I rented it back in the mid 90s with some friends from a local cult video store.
The movie was a few days late and people from the store literally broke into my friends apt. to get it back.

I remember seeing the old multi-part youtube submission here, somewhere around 2007.

It blew my fucking mind.

The early material, I didn't mind, including the amusing parodies of everything from UFO nuts to New Agey cultism. But after awhile on the internet on the 1990s where SubGenii or people who were fans of the concept did their best to beat all of the SubGenius material into the ground and like with internet Discordians it attracted a lot of proto-fedoras of the sort who thought the best humor was repeating LOL rand0m wh4cky crap like an idiot.

If you ever get up to Wisteria Campground in Ohio for the 5th of July, Rev. Ivan Stang is still waiting for the X-ists to come and take them all away in the sex ship. I attended a few X-days at Brushwood and have heard him preach on a number of occasions and it is just a BLAST.
