Do we really need a movie to tell us that human communication and farting are more or less equivalent? Isn't it kind of self evident?

I actually took a bunch of classes from this guy, but I don't think I took any Japanese cinema studies. In fact, as a comparative (film) lit. major I don't remember studying ANY Japanese cinema in college besides what I watched on my own time, but I was pretty high like all the time so I guess anything's possible.
