Oh, Hell yeah, what a great choice. I tend to want to listen to music that fits the mood I'm in at the moment and this is one of the few records that works for me no matter what. Also one of the few I listen to all the way through almost every time. They have plenty of other good stuff, but I love every aspect of the self-titled album.

Sometimes I specifically want "Whipping Post" or "Dreams". Sometimes I want "It's Not My Cross To Bear" or "Trouble No More" but I could never pick a favorite or even point to a song that I'd identify as a weak point.

I urge anyone who is at all into bluesy, guitar based harder rock to start with Beginnings, Live at Fillmore East or their self-titled album.

Heavy, vital, swaggering, dark, soulful, fantastic.
