I still remember the article about him in SPIN around this time, which was at least partially him ragging on South Park and partially him trying to sell the world on the merits of George Liquor. With John K. you can count on at least one unhealthy obsession and/or parental issue he tries in vain to turn into comedy product.

cognitivedissonance - 2017-08-11 Yeah, I did some research on his dad, and his grandfather was a Ukrainian Reformed priest, who built the first church of his sect in Canada, and this extremely austere upbringing gave his father some bizarre notions about masculinity, combined with John's (rumored, undeclared) bisexuality. The rumors of John's sex life are scattered and varied. He's a deeply neurotic individual with a certain degree of anal fixation that translates every piece of work he does into an artifact of defilement. He subconsciously wants to throw shit on everything, everywhere. He's a psychological case study for the ages, akin to Louis Wain.
