This must have come out after "Turbo Teen" because that's pretty much when I stopped watching Saturday morning cartoons.

Seriously, I was ten minutes into the first episode of "Turbo Teen" and thought "You know, I think I've seen enough cartoons." then I got up & went outside and did so for every Saturday thereafter.

I don't know how I went all my life without ever having heard of Turbo Teen until now. That opening is some fucked up fetishism.

Holy shit, Peter S. Beagle worked on this.

Also, the incongruously depressing opening song is by Jimmy Webb, writer of such classic tunes as "Galveston" and "MacArthur Park."

This cartoon is based off of a song about a horse that died. Dave Barry pointed out that the horse died under conditions that no ordinary horse could have died under.

Speaking of which, it looks like Dave Barry is still writing articles. I'm glad about that.

If Jem was a horse

Reading a plot synopsis for this show leaves you amazed to discover it's not from Japan.

What is it with wicked queens having shitty pointy hats attached to their outfits?
