The one thing I like about car makers' perpetual horsepower wars is that they've now reached the point of making virtually EVERY high horsepower, high cost tuner project idiotic and pointless.
Back in the 90s it was amazing that you had an Asian economy car with 400 horsepower and could beat mustangs or euro sports cars in a drag race. But at this point you have to spend much more than a new sports car to make your rice rocket competitive and the car has to be so heavily modified that it just becomes a Honda shaped drag racer. Or you can go to a Big 3 dealership and drop 30k-40k and get a brand new car -at least- 400 horsepower with working A/C, functional traction control, A WARRANTY, etc.
