I thought this was going to be about the Michael Bay-produced reboot from 2009, which a few of us watched the other night, and it wasn't exactly terrible, but... no, it was exactly terrible.

But how is this guy so surprised that the dumbest horror franchise ever (not necessarily a bad thing, I guess) starts to get weak around the 8th installment?

Fanboys, amiright?

Yeah. Jason sucks and his movies suck. He's the Nickleback of horror.

Well, as I've said many times before, My all-time favourite movie is THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN. The first two Frankenstein movies, directed by James Whale, are masterful, but by the eighth film, the monster was supporting Abbot and Costello.

I've watched the whole thing now, and I guess that, as a person who still intends to one day make the definitive video on why Catie Wayne is a genius, I ought to have a little respect for this guy. He takes it way too seriously for my taste, but he really seems knowledgeable, and this might hold some interest to the general viewer on just how a horror franchise is ground into dust.

But what can really be done about that? This guy doesn't want Jason to leave Camp Crystal Lake, but how many things can happen in Camp Crystal Lake? Shit, it's not even a camp anymore! He seems to want to make the same movie over and over again, and what's the point of that?

I definitely disagree with the guy about Ronny Yu. Freddy vs. Jason wasn't bad, and FUCK YOU, video guy, BRIDE OF CHUCKY was awesome!

To be fair, they were pretty crap by #6 and #5 wasn't so hot either.

This guy sure seems really angry that the films were anything other than what he wanted them to be.
