I think one of the things that really triggers me is people just blatantly dismissing the evidence that's currently punching them in the head.
Like those people living on that island, insisting that "erosion" was causing the water levels to rise until their docks were underwater. I mean the docks were all sinking. And the beaches were eroding. And their houses were moving toward the water's edge.
