Well, no less bizarre or tonedeaf than 8 million retellings of this non event, based on a completely misconstrued short paragraph in a couple of world chronicles that tell a totally different story. Gary Dickson has chronicled exactly how wide ranging and massive the program of retelling this story has been, but there is still no convincing explanation for why we needed this story to be true. We needed it so much that it made its way into Gumby.
