'Joe Maggard, another former Ronald, pleaded guilty in 1998 to a charge of carrying a concealed weapon in New Hanover County, N.C., and the next year was convicted in county court of making harassing telephone calls posing as a Ronald. The judge ordered him to take anger-management classes.

"I'm one of the bad-boy Ronalds," said Maggard, an actor who portrayed Ronald in the mid-'90s. "Am I a bad guy? No, I'm not a bad guy. Did Ronald get in a little trouble down there? Yes."

McDonald's said that Maggard was a stand-in for Ronald for one commercial shoot, adding that "he is definitely not Ronald McDonald."'

I think he's lying about his Army days too. They guy can't admit that his Army days were uneventful, so he'll just tell people it's classified.

If there's one thing I learned on the internet is that it never usually ends well for the POG. Former soldiers, the real ones gleefully point out their resumes of being line cooks and janitors.

In my experience they get hired in as middle managers straight-out of the military and then burn out in a year when they can’t handle an environment of employees that aren’t legally required to follow orders. I’ve been lateral with 4 in the last 10 years and every one followed the same pattern.

The grunts make great union employees however.

Makes me wonder about other documentaries, that this one presented such an obvious fraud uncritically.
