These days everyone thinks old people are inherently right wing, when what is actually going on (and there have been credible statistical analyses demonstrating this but I'm too lazy to find them) is that both conservatism and longevity correlated with wealth. There were plenty of left wing boomers, it's just that statistically they've been dying younger and the right wing ones have won by attrition, and that pattern will repeat.

I know plenty of olds who are very much liberal/left wing/democrat/whatever. It's very much unfair to assume everyone over a certain age is an evil conservative.
