My Mom got me a chemistry set in the 80s. I remember having watched a lot of Unsolved Mysteries and America's Most Wanted, so I knew what Cyanide could do, re: murdering people. I had a bottle of cyanide in my set.

I asked my Mom, hey, isn't this poisonous? What's it doing here? She kind of gave me the run around and told me not to worry about it and go play.

The chemistry set disappeared overnight.

Lesson learned: Don't ask Mom anything ever again.
