America is trying to hypnotise me.

Cap'n Profan!ty - 2007-05-29

Pyramonster at -1:32, hot dog torrents at -1:06...sweet merciful crap, Vincent Collins, whoever you are, you have some explaining to do. How did a government that produced this kind of LSD-fueled insanity become such a bunch of assholes?

TypicalEllisProtagonist - 2007-05-29

Jesus Christ, I'm so glad I lived through no part of the seventies.

futurebot - 2007-05-29

Chet, I hope you have a good lawyer, because this video is going to give people seizures.

Syd Midnight - 2007-05-29

DEAR GOD

manfred - 2007-05-29

The bassline is identical to the one in "Roundabout" by Yes!

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2007-05-29

It's funktastic.

USA! USA! USA! The antidote to all the anime BS on here

And they animated this by HAND.

Meatsack Jones - 2007-05-29

The 70's contribution to society? Blinking things...and I mean everything!

KnowFuture - 2008-05-25

That pretty much sums up the 70s visual aesthetic: why settle for a NON-blinking buffalo that isn't shooting a (also very blinky) rainbow out of its ass?

Cube - 2007-05-29

That's the America I want to live in. But how is this informational?

Daughters of Uzbek - 2007-05-29

America: Funk Yeah.

Blackbetta - 2007-05-29

That was MK-ULTRA terrific.

teethsalad - 2007-05-29

Caminante Nocturno - 2007-08-17

So, marijuana is still illegal, huh?

Man Who Fights Like Woman - 2007-11-13

I know that when I think America, I think an eagle morphing into the Liberty Bell.

KnowFuture - 2008-03-23

Dedicated to the brave CIA agents who secretly dosed random people in the 1950s.

The Mothership - 2012-02-18

the cornucopia of cars, burgers and televisions pretty much sums up America all right.

MissLadyArtemis - 2013-10-20

Once upon a time, the US Information Agency was pretty groovy. Sadly, the rest of the government went overboard in squashing this type of joy forever after. We miss you, Groovy US Information Agency.

Old People - 2014-10-24

I was a small child during the 80s, and 60s/70s stuff like this was still occasionally shown in school for whatever reason (in retrospect, I had a LOT of hippie teachers. I'm looking at you, Art teacher named "Art" who would take points off every time I drew a city-sized tank covered in guns running over buildings etc). It was enough to give me a sense that not only was the recent past a lot cooler, a weirdly gentler time with pretty girls rather than nasty broad-shouldered makeup-caked 80s chicks, but that the future/present was supposed to have people living on giant wheels in orbit.
When I was born Jimmy Carter was still President.
