I’ve been assured that this almost never happens and that our law enforcement officers are honest-to-a-fault, like Jon Snow honest. Almost all of them.

4 months ago I was walking along a state highway at night, probably within 50 miles from here. I assumed every single car going by had someone wondering if I was in some kind of trouble, drunk, on drugs or homeless or not any of these fine qualities, just "suspicious" and therefor having to make up their mind if they should call 911. And if they did you could guess I'd not be griping about the police for that because I got held up for a minute. Civilians, or cellphones , are the problem.

Also framing should not be a tag in this

I always assure folks that cops tend to be very sloppy and they routinely will lie in reports to make you look bad or cover their asses, whatever suits them.

Also, it's after 9/11/2001 guys-- and people are *scared*-- they all tend to call 9-11 now when they see something "suspicious"-- like Idk a guy walking down the shoulder of the highway with a pistol in hand. These 'fraidy-cat cop-callers, these cops, these gun people all a bunch of busybodies with no sense.

Imagine walking around openly with a handgun on you and wondering why the cops get called when you live in a country seemingly populated by fearful people who don't know the law.

What's next weekend's matchup? More "But Muh Freedoms" vs "Won't Somebody Think Of The Children"?
