Toontown is a weird place in the park. It only has two rides (one of which is a kiddie coaster), it’s tucked way in the back behind the train berm, and the walk in exhibits won’t even hold the attention of all but the youngest children. It’s also been lacking in upkeep since Eisner left, and the silly trolley that used to run back and forth hasn’t operated in twenty years, and just sits idle. Now that Star Wars Land is requiring more security and cast resources, I expect it to just get worse. They should just shut it down, and retheme it to a smaller version of the abandoned Villain Village plans.

It wouldn't surprise me if Disney argues said neglect makes for a more realistic Toontown experience. Alternatively, Disney could call it Bonkers' Hollywood Beat if it wants to side-step Amblin and write Toontown off completely.
